Greensboro Country Club is a Private, 36-hole golf Facility located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Greensboro Country Club is a traditional private country club. The Club is owned by its members, governed by an elected Board of Directors and managed by a certified professional staff. Membership is by invitation only.

The Farm Course opened for play in 1963. The course was designed by Ellis Maple and became a part of Greensboro CC in 1969. Forty years after the club acquired the course, in 2009, Donald Steel did an extreme makeover. He transformed a tired 6,914-yard, par-71 layout into a 7,323-yard, par-72.

Greensboro Country Club, The Farm Course, in 2010 won the award for best course renovation.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,323 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,283 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 604 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 161 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 526-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Greensboro CC Farm Golf Course is # 17, a 194 yard par-3.

The Greensboro Country Club golf course was originally built in 1965 by Ellis Maples and was renovated in 2009 by renowned European architect Doanld Steel. Golf Week Magazine rated the Farm course renovation the best U.S. renovation in 2010. The new Donald Steel layout is a very fair test of golf with six sets of tees that allows all levels of golfers the opportunity to test their skills. A must see if visiting the Greensboro area.

Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Best course in the area
